Whats your opinion on fakes reef tanks?

its a valid science either way. to make a painted reef run truly long term and keep healthy fish vs replaced ones is a very rare science in my opinion. it can be done, ATM made an entire business on it not all their tanks were bad. if atm gave me a tank, it would not go bad lol. If they gave me a painted tank as a fish only I would keep it going for sure that would be rad

I would not pay out of pocket for one though. only real corals

personal preference...

for me its having a piece of the ocean in my home that makes it worthwhile. i wont get the self gratification from a FOWLR tank. "real" reef is my choice!

Ya I want only what would be found on a reef in my tank. Although beautiful, I won’t do designer clowns just plain jane ocellaris.
