I got a par reading of 450/500. Sps only tank.
Im running an ATI 4x39w and a sb reef light actinic leds bar.
Is 500par a lot?

At the top of your tank? What about the bottom

I think that's the right range u should be in. Now just evaluate how the corals do and move them up or down accordingly

Corals seem to be happy enough down to what most folks measure as 50-150 PAR.

200-300 is a sweet spot.

2000 PAR is direct tropical sun at the water's surface, FYI. Corals do not require a ton of light. :)

Not much to move here. This is how it was. Fixture was closer to the water.
I raised now. My par is reading between 320 to 420 now.

How's your tank doing with the 4x39w fixture ?? I have a 57 gallon 36x18x20 and I'm thinking of getting rid of my kessils and getting a 4x39w ati fixture. I saw a local guy with a nice mixed reef growing sps at the top like crazy under the 4 bulb and also had nems and a clam for over a year

I'm about 350, The Aiptasia and Cyano seem to be happy
