I have some lights that are wore out,,, fixing to get a couple of new Radions :) What I want to know,, to help determine how wore out my lights are and I know they are :( ,,, what are your Radion Par numbers a couple of inches under your lights and at water level?

I have radions. At 60% setting I'm at 500+ just under the water hung 9 inches above.
Interesting. I've got a couple of xr30 gen 4s about the same height off the water. I've got the Neptune Apex par meter coming in the next couple of days because I have no idea what my par values are, but I've never run them higher than 40% yet. It will be interesting to finally find out what values I have in various parts of my tank.

I have mine on RMS mounts and running my 2x XR30 G.3 Pros at 70% on a 85% SPS and 15% LPS, softy tank. Not sure of PAR, I haven't measured for a while but getting good growth and color.

Gen 3 Pro's: 15 inches above water at 100% intensity
Top corals get ~800-900 PAR
Midway ~3o0-400 PAR
Sand ~150-200 PAR
Measured with Apogee

I had the old Sol Blues back in the day,,, bought the Hydra upgrade kits for them, to give you some kind of time frame,,, the upgrade kits were offered and had been out for,, say 1 1/2 years before I bought the upgrades,,, and have been running them ever since,,, they are just wore out because of time and need replaced,, I contacted Aqua Illumanations about a upgrade kit for them,,, no upgrades available,, not even sure I can buy the same pucks that are in the light now,,, I am thinking its time to upgrade to Radions ,, which is what I am working on :)

Just to give you a idea,,, readings taken with Apogee: White LED's running at 56 %,,, after this test,, I moved them up to 60% but haven't re tested yet,, lights are 12" above water,,

2 " under light 2500,,, this number surprised me,, but I am no expert,,, I guess its right
5" under light 800
at water level,, but sensor out of water 237
just under water 165
SPS level 90
