I stopped by my local Petco and was surprised to see a 90 gallon like mine ( Aqueon ) and it was decently built . Glass was 3/8” witch is ok . But $400 seams to be the going rate .
I personally would stay clear of Red Sea , they got problems these days . Ihave looked at glasscages but the shipping was a deal breaker.

Forgot to say, when my Red Sea E-260 arrived it was very well packed on the pallet. The issues they have had have been corrected in the new generation and have a 3 year warranty on them.

I would try to contact or join the MARS group out of Sac. They can prob tell you who in Sac has good deals on good quality tanks.

Great! Thank you!

@RDUB58 I ordered mine from SC Aquariums and it was flawless. I hate to take business from my LFS but they didnt offer what I wanted. So I had to source it myself. The link below is the 120 gal I ordered and I have no regrets.

I like your tank. Quick question. Are you going to make this a reef tank? If so, how do you plan on plumbing it?

@RDUB58 Yes its going to be a mixed reef. Im going to use hard PVC from BRS, It was pre-drilled for the the synergy shadow 16 inch overflow with dual returns. It arrived and the overflow fit like a glove!

There will be stores in Sacramento or, at worst, San Francisco area that can get you a tank.

Local club, Craigslist and LFS for me

Haha right on! I can smell the hops from my place. Longing for a good mix of reef sump and hops smells.

I generally try to support lfs and NOT the big box stores, but if it’s a last resort, petco does sell tanks that they don’t have in their stores. If you search their website you’ll find tanks by waterbox and clear for life acrylic. May be an option to order and pickup there. I love my lfs, but All of my QT and smaller tanks came from petco clearance sales.

I had the stand custom made. My fiancee's father build it. I gave him a drawing of what I wanted along with sized and he built it. The stand is supported with 1/2 in square tube steel and cased around it with wood. I will be starting a build thread here soon

The guys at Aquarium Depot in Sac can take care of you. They have plenty of tanks in stock and can special order if they don't have it. I have purchased my last couple of tanks from them along with most of my tank hardware. You can try John at Yourreef too. Both shops are within 10 minutes of each other.

Sweet thanks!
