where's my polyps???

polyps went into hiding on my Tyree Toadstool, is that normal? been about a week now and hasn't come out yet. He's also getting some algae on it.. what's up with that???? :confuse:

Mine does that once a year. It will "slough" off the top layer
Of tissue, and be back better than ever in a couple of weeks.
