which Bio media do you guys use?

Yep this is what I use in all 3 of my tanks. I also use Siporax.

Currently seachem matrix in bio cube 20g AIO. Some people will disagree with any sort of bio media and suggest live rock as your foundation. However some of us just prefer a dry start for obvious reasons. And for this reason I chose matrix. Its only been 3 months but I had no issues with the cycle and the tank is doing fine. I do remove the media bag and rinse it off once a month in tank water just to clear any debris that may have built up. (this is the important bit) the plan is to slowly remove the matrix as the tank matures as I will only have 3 or 4 fish so a low bio load. Established rock should be able to handle that.

yup i plan to use rock as the main filter.
but i had space in the media basket, so i thought more bio media cannot harm :)

Hi Kamla. To be honest if your going live rock and its a nano as long as you don't plan to heavily stock with fish there is really no need to add extra media. It'll just be another thing you'll have to keep clean. There's nothing wrong with running the chamber empty. If you haven't got a skimmer on there you could possibly use the chamber for that. [emoji2]
