Which chiller is best?

We all know that the best wavemaker is vortech, skimmer is Bubble King, T5 fixture is ATI, but what brand of chiller is best? Also what size HP would one recommend for a 150 gallon tank?

I had plenty of different brand chillers and the only one thats still doing the job is my tradewinds 1hp. I have 3 brandnew oceanic still in the box never pluged in on standby

Agreed I have a dewalt blower fan blowing into my canopy and a small 10" fan in my sump area house can be 82 deg and the tank will only fluctuate between 78-79 it works for me but I've wanted a chiller too just never had the need! But I'd look for one with a built in temp controller for sure

I have 2 Arctica chillers 1/5 HP running strong for over 3 years never had a problem.

a fan would never work on my system, If I only had softies maybe but I have all high end sps and LPS.
A chiller keeps your temps in line and a great insurance policy. sometimes they break as I whent thru my fair share but its a well needed peice of equipment

My tank is no where near being a softy tank haha I'm loaded to gills with high end sps and lps oh ok I have a few random z&p's lol it's all about how you run it!

I've been running the Aqua Logic Cyclone for 4 years with no issues, oops now I did it. It's also made in the USA like the Tradewinds so it makes parts easier to find. Luckily I've never had an issue. Definitely a great piece of equipment to buy for temp stability.
