Hey folks,

I'm in the process of setting up a new system and seriously considering a controller, as I've got four days a week I'm gone for 14+ hours a day. I'd prefer not to spend a zillion bucks.

Here's what I'd like:

Basic coral info stuff (Alk/Ca/Mag/Ph)
Alerts via email or text
Temp I suppose too.

I've never used/setup/played with a controller.

I want something I can plug in and get set up without having to troubleshoot every single thing to get it to work.

So what do I need?

From your post What your really looking for is an automated water tester. I see nothing mentioned about pump control or lighting etc.
The Mindstream would have been perfect for you had it not gone belly up. The Apex can do the job with a trident connected. Your other options reefbot and maybe the stand alone GHL ion director.
