Alright going to make a fish order this weekend if I don't see anything at the LFS. Help me decide what 2 or 3 fish to add this weekend right now we only have 2 clowns, few snails, emerald crab and a pink tip anemone in a 29 gal tank but has plenty of rockwork just not completely covered in algae yet so meat eaters and free swimmers go to the top of the list. Possibly 2 swimmers and a rock percher or couple of shrimps.

How long has the tank been established? Maybe a small purple dottyback since they stay small but can be aggressive if added too early.

Only a couple of months that's why I was trying to stick to more meat eaters there's not a ton of algae to be grazed on and I know it can be supplemented just tossing around ideas

Keep in mind, clownfish can get aggressive once they mature, especially if they spawn, so you want to make sure other tankmates can hold their own.

A Royal Gramma might go well, though they can be shy (at least mine is).
If you're looking for wrasses, you could do a possum wrasse. Mine is quite chill and spends his time cruising the tank.

I second a couple of firefish. Also, a blood fire shrimp is easy to keep and looks great (though I've read that they might not be good with anemones).

Yea if a blood fire shrimp isn't suitable I think that a skunk cleaner shrimp would be great. I have one and it is very fun to feed and watch.

Ya, I have two skunks and one blood red fire shrimp. I’ve had two and the only time I would see them is when I feed the tank. The skunks are out and about all the time and clean my hand whenever it’s in the tank.

Will the fire shrimp and skunk cleaner fight? I've heard from some people that fire shrimp can be aggressive towards other shrimps. I've never tried to keep them together so I don't really know

They are buddies like the skunks that hang out together. It does chase them away every once in awhile if they get too close . The skunks are much much faster and I have never seen one get injured in the past 3 1/2 years.

Diamond Goby, for rock perching a Linear Goby will take months for it to calm down. Meat eaters wrasse I see others getting but feeding not easy and makes a mess out of tank ( that is only my fear ) talk to others. You have your hands full with the clowns at the moment. Get a referee shirt they will fight maybe to the death. Get a lid now I mean now

I had a 29 for a long time. My carpenter's flasher wrasse was really cool. Tailspot blenny, valentini puffer, goby or perhaps a jaw fish if you add some reborn or something for him to build a home

I was wondering if a valetini would stay small enough for it !!
