My ATO and AWC pumps are in the garage and I use 1/4 RODI tubing run up through the attic between the tank and the garage when the pump are located, The tank is 35ft from the garage where the pump are at. I have not had any issues with the 1/4" tubing or fittings. I also use it between the X10 and the sump for my All For Reef dosing and also the alkalinity testing. So far no issues. Once the lines are run though they usually do not get touched unless I have an issue with a pump. Then only at the pump.
Sorry, I mean if I use non-rigid tubing in the push to connect fitting on my sumps built in dosing line holder.

this tubing in a push-to-connect john guest type fitting

I have never done that I use barb fittings in the end of the RODI tubing but you can get the push to fit to barb adapters also. I would think those would be better to use than flexible tubing since there is just a o-ring seal in the push to fit tubing.

I can't find any 1/8" barb to 1/4" ptc sadly.

Can you explain how your hydros pumps are connected to rodi tubing?
Are you using 1/8" 2 sided barbs in the
Rodi tubing and the hydros dosing tube?

Here is a photo of the pumps with the barb fittings and push to fit tubing.

I looked back on my orders and it looks like 3/16 to 1/8 barb fittings is what I used to go from the 1/4" tubing to the pump tubing. I have ordered several sizes over time but that is the last ones I got.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I had a busy day at work but was checking the thread.

Ty! Just ordered the doser and some tubing, just in case, and barb reducers from mcmaster

Edit: wait the barbs are $7.53 for just one and then $10 shipping. I'm going with one on amazon. No idea what plastic they are but it says for pharmaceutical and food.

Edit2: nvm found them for a couple bucks each at US Plastic Corp
