I was looking at the Polyplab version 2 clip to use on my smartphone, but then I saw one from IceCap and one from Orphek. All similar prices. Any one experience with them or are the all the same?

I have been looking at lenses lately and compared the polyplabs v2 and icecap at MACNA. For a quick look and feel as well as some research online the poly labs lens is slimmer, however the icecap appeared to have a better macro lens and take better pictures (to my eyes - I realize this is subjective). I will probably buy the icecap lens this next month. Good luck with whatever way you decide to go!

Thank you for the input. I am more interested in getting a picture closer to what it looks like in person, I may lean towards the IceCap if that is the case!

can you do this on the iphone?

There is an app for the iPhone called “Aquarium cam” that I sometimes use that can counter some of the blues.

I have the polyplab V1. The yellow is perfect for the display and the orange is v good for the frag tank.
The macro is only good for things relatively close to the glass. Up to ~8” from the lens.

I tried the icecap and polyplab, icecap worked better for me. Also I use the app "Snapseed" it is free and it works great.

Snapseed is the best! This R2R post made me a believer:

Here's a picture of an aquarium I touched up by simply following the OP's instructions:

Now I use it to make all my pictures look better! Adjusting a photo with your fingers is easier than using a mouse. It feels so natural! I turn almost-perfect pictures into perfect ones all the time by brightening faces of people that are dark or shaded. I take more pictures of my kids than my aquarium these days, so I am even more grateful for what this free tool is capable of.

Few photos I’ve taken with the orphek I just got. Love the results so far, for what like $25?
