Which puffer?

I just upgraded to a 77 gallon tank and I’m wanting to get a puffer I’m in between a saddle or spotted… any opinions??

Marine tank, the saddle is the one.

If you have coral get the saddle, if it's fish only and you don't care if your cleanup crew gets eaten get a blue spotted.

The saddleback is more reef safe than the spotted.

You also have to get a spotted as a adult if you want to convert it to full saltwater.

I've never had him in a tank with coral, but he's eaten plenty of snails/urchins/cowrie so I could never keep him in a tank with an active cleanup crew.
