I have an ATI 4x54 (2 x DD actinic +, 1 DD aquablue, and 1 ATI purple +) with 2x48" blue reefbrites. The blue reefbrites add some really nice pop. I have them come on an hour before any of the T5s and stay on an hour after. When they are on by themselves, the colors are insane. However, the glow from even two of the T5s completely cancels their shimmer. If you want shimmer, you almost have to run all white LEDs for it to show through 8 or 10 T5s. I've heard the all white reefbrites produce lots of shimmer. I thought about running 2x48" white reefbrites and then 4 x DD actinic + T5s to get shimmer from the LEDs and color from the T5s, but I was afraid it would be way too yellow for my taste. You almost have to decide on what's more important to you, pop or shimmer, and purchase the reefbrites accordingly.

I only have 6 T5's, I definitely want the shimmer ,but all white may be too much, maybe the 50/50 will do it.

I have two of the XHO blue with 7 T5 bulbs. Shimmer isn't terrible strong but it still looks nice. Go with the 50/50 or white to get a better shimmer.
