I have read @VintageReefer 's posts on the Vabira par meter sensor, but I can't tell which version of the sensor I got. Is this the second version, or a third (if there is one)?

Depending on what sensor version this is, does anyone know the conversion?

You have the newest version like myself... you will need to multiply results by 1.4 for PAR matching an Apogee MQ-510.

Appreciate it!

Hey @NanoSteam Would you mind posting the link to your thread where you did the test? I didn't see it pop up when I was starting this one.

I cannot base my findings on that, based on other testing, real world in tank. The VBR was only off 3% max. to the 510 and the 210. That would be a real world for me 3 to 6 PAR. Which means nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately i don't have an Apogee to test against so are you saying it could be different from sensor/device to sensor/device because depending on which version you have your findings are indeed true according to Telegrahms finding.

Edit: here's a longer thread about the previous sensor versions if anyone is interested: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/v...-aquarium-r-g-b-par-seperately.1011898/page-2

I cannot vouch for other meters produced, but mine was tested in my tank, I was worried about about my meter reading being off sense I was raising my PAR levels to accommodate SPS on the tops of my aquascape and still keep things ok down in my tank for my LPS. My friend brought his two meters over and tested the readings
