Which would you choose ?

Planning on doing a 40g display tank, but having a hard time deciding which brand to get . Aqueon or Marineland ? Both same price .which would you guys choose ?

Yep, my only concern would be tempered glass if your planning to drill it.

thanks will have to check with Petsmart for the Marineland 40g plus it’s the closest to me compared to a 55min drive to petco

Really? I have Marineland tanks that have been decades old. I recently sold a 125 that had to be 25 years old, but still held water, though I sold it super cheap to someone who wanted it for reptiles.

EDIT: Maybe all those years ago they were a better build quality?

It was mainly the 93 and 150 cubes and the 150 gallon standard. I sold them and quickly stopped ordering them at my LFS

So then the smaller sizes like the 40g are good ?

Wait for the Aqueon Sale and buy a 75g for the same price as a new 40b. Roughly same foot print.

40g is $64.99 and 75g is 144.99.
I get they almost the same footprint just longer. I wanted something smaller tbh

Yes that I know of. Havent seen much complaints on this size

40g is $64.99 and 75g is 144.99.
I get they almost the same footprint just longer. I wanted something smaller tbh

On sale the 75g is about $100.00. Only reason I know this is I seem to buy a 75g every couple years and that is what I get because they are/were just over a buck a gallon on sale.
