Hello, my black trigger has white hairlike spots on his sides and a spot on his chin. (Pics attached) Also, I found similar white hairlike things on my glass while cleaning and trying to catch him to get him in qt. Any thoughts? Treatment options? I got him out today and did a freshwater dip for about 90 seconds. Waiting on my paraguard and cupramine to come in Friday. Thanks all!

Yeah, it’s hard to see because he has white dotted lines that show up as part of his pattern. Looks kind of like ich, but the hairlike part of it is throwing me off.

Did the FWD help anything?

Is he displaying any strange behavior?

How long have you had him? anything recently added to your tank?

Please post current water parameters.

He wasn’t acting weird at all. He was swimming fine, eating like a pig, and doing great. He was the new addition. No, I did not qt, but have him out now to treat and am setting up a qt station now. (I have a great fish store that quarantines for 2-3 weeks and never allows them to touch wholesaler’s tanks. So never had any issues. This fish came from another reputable store.) Anyway, I can’t tell what the FWD did due to the qt tank not being so clear. I have ceramic bioballs in there for biofiltration until my bio wheel and air pumps get in Friday and makes it a little “dusty” in there. Not horrible, but enough to keep me from seeing the tiny dots on him. It was an emergency setup. I’ll post water parameters later on. Currently running carbon, GFO, purigen, and of course, a protein skimmer.
