I used to have one in my fowler. Grumpy thing was bought as a feeder but didn't get eaten. If kept well fed they pose limited threat to corals (not there favorite food choice). I have also seen well fed ones living fine with other shrimps and crabs (mine never bothered anything though inverts didn't last long thanks to the fish) as long as food is plentiful. Starving they will try to eat anything so give him a good meal before the introduction of a new tankmate.

Had one, he tried pulling my conch out of his shell, then ripped an arm off my huge sand shifting starfish one night. Got banished to the sump, lived pretty well there until he got too close to the skimmer intake.

My lfs had a huge softball size one, they get massive. Now I want another one for a cuc in my 400g tank. If you part with him, ill take him! Lol

Thanks for the tag. Hermits are not my specialty but I would have taken him. But it seems there's other people who are more interested. Let it go to somebody who will appreciate it the most. Looks like the Op wants to keep it though just trying to find tank mates.
