Hello!

I woke up and noticed this worm type creature on my glass. I’ve never seen it before and can’t find anything online about what it really is.

The only thing that changed recently is a got a new order of coral put in the tank within the last week.

Are these good guys or pest?

Anyone have a proper id?!

Snail eggs maybe.

Looks like Cerith snail eggs to me (I've seen these called Mexican Cerith eggs, to be a bit more specific).
These guys, right?

I've heard them called Mexican ceriths, Cortez ceriths (that's what I choose to call them becuase it sounds cool lol), and baha ceriths. Do you know what their proper Latin name is? I can't find it.

My guess at this point would be Cerithium stercusmuscarum, but I'm not sure on that, as I haven't looked through the full genus yet, and that species is an Eastern Pacific species (so they're from the West Coast of the US).
