So i dont have zoanthid problems in my tank. I habe about 12 types. All huge colonies of hundreds of zoanthids. Howevee i do have issues with those darn large amphipods. They wont touch colonies. But they always seem to go after the new zoanthids i introduce.

So about 6 months ago i had two heads of white zombie on a frag with about 4 other zoanthid types. I managed to seperate them, and the whote zombies grew into three heads. Then i put them on my rocks after keeping them in my floating frag box. And whelp those darn amphipods ate them. 1 head survived. That one head is a little bigger than a ball point pen tip. And it hasnt grown in 4 months.

Im not sure what to do. Keep it in my floating container or what ? Why is it taking 4 months ? It has grown or changed one bit. It opens up. But thats it lol.

1 head takes a lot longer to grow than if you had 2 or more... especially the white walker strain I have had one head for like 4 months and still only have the one head and a small baby forming... those amphipods may be a problem though

I’d keep it in a box until you have like 6-10 heads but as previous post said single polyps take a lot longer to produce babies. It could be in there for awhile
