Who uses Carbon AND Chemipure Blue in their tanks?

Does anyone run both Carbon AND Chemipure Blue in their tanks? Is there a reason I shouldn't?\

I run chemipure blue in all my tanks. No need to add additional carbon as CPB is a mix between hi grade carbon and resins that absorb phosphate and other impurities

I also run chemi blue and there’s something going on that really works for my reef tank

FWIW, The resins in Chemipure blue cannot bind phosphate from seawater. No commercial organic materials can because there is too much competition for binding sites by chloride and sulfate.

I did notice that my phosphate levels did not really change much when I started using it. But, I must say that the animals in the tank look much better after a couple of days of using the Chemipure blue.

The ion exchange resin will act to bind some organic matter (but won’t do anything else useful), as will the activated carbon.
