So I will start my build thread here :) here is what I got:

Innovative marine fusion 25

x2 Current USA Orbit marine LED 18" lights on a bracket 6" above the waterline
using the LOOP sync system.

dual spill-overs with sock filters
Using carbon bags and bioballs after the sock filter

This is it so far. I am looking for recommendations about refugiums for this tank. Thoughts?

For refugium you can run a hob or use the second chamber with the IM ChaetoMax led. I did the CheatoMax but found it too effective and N03 bottom out for too long which I believe caused my Dino issue, something to consider. Also worth noting I only had 2 fish initially and setup the fuge for pods and help with the low ph.

That's the thing. I am not really sure. I have read that yes it will help even a small tank and no, water changes are better. was thinking about getting a 3 tier rack for both #2 chambers like this:

minus the media and using something like this from algebarn.com, just a bit smaller.

and a small cheato light at the top. the walls are blacked out so...
Oh and no fish at all. just gonna be coral UNLESS the fish will help.

did a bit of remodeling and added some new friends to out tank. have 5 more corals showing up today so will show those when they are all settled in. I added a couple new rocks and made some holes for new frags on the back wall rock.
getting all the stuff I need to make a fuge today also. hope that works out

UPDATE!!!
Finally got all I need to make a fuge for this tank.
Also updates my filter system. I added sheet filter floss, the carbon bags are still in there along with a GFO filter bag, and added matrix rox to the bottom.

I got a fuge rack designed for my tank from intank.com and it is really well made and fits perfectly.
I put more matrix rox on the bottom of the chamber, put Chaeto in the rack and added a bag of copepods. I turned the pumps off for about 30 min while I did this.

The other inner chamber has the leftover matrix rox and some bioballs. I wanna change out he bioballs I think
I cut a square out of the back of the tanks black sticker and put on a ACKE grow light I got of of amazon. ( alot of people seem to like that for AIO tanks like mine) used some 3m tape stuff to hold it on.

Then got a digital timer from wal-mart for 6 bucks.

So lets see if this works or not. gonna test tonight and make sure all is well.
hope this helps someone out there wanting to do the same thing.

our tank as of last night. getting better I think :) got a multi colored Ricordea Florida recently. it's so small I have to keep it in a contained area so the CUC dont mess with it.

How's the ACKE light working out? I have a Nuvo 20 with a DIY light for the fuge. The LEDs are white and the chaeto grows ok, but I might switch to the ACKE. I also have those RFGs and have been really happy with them.

Works really well. Heres my cheato now. Almost time to trim.

Wow I wish I knew what I was doing wrong with my setup! My tank was started around aug 11. I have had a hard time keeping parameters stable.

I bought the 6" extension and split it. it really helps get flow where I want it.

New peice of gear today. Picked up the I,M, minimax media reactor. For now using rowaphos as my phos is still over .250 as of now. So hope this stuff works. After the phos is under control, i'm gonna experiment with using chemipure out of the bag and in the reactor.
Now this thing is a bit tricky to get started. The design is mostly good except for the top seal that is all rubber so it is REALLY hard to get the cap to go in all the way. Then there was tuning the flow. something they don't tell you is that you have to adjust the flow from the top knob AND the flow on the pump too. Theres a little switch on the side of the pump to do that. Its was kinda of a pain. But was finally able to get it where I need it to keep the rowa in the reactor and not spewing out the top. The filters they give you is not made for small grain stuff like this. So I cut a peice of filter floss to help. Seems to work (¯―¯٥). Anyway we'll see how it works over the next few days.
