The red does cause algae! I meant to explain that, I have a lot of mangrove propagules in my DT that I’m trying get leaves on for a mangrove lagoon tank :)

Tank looks nice! Are you misting the tops of the mangroves with R/O water periodically? That has helped mine

I take them out and dip them every 1-2 weeks or as I see salt buildup. My big red mangrove baby is doing amazing, it just started sprouting the little white hairs all over the roots. All the other ones are black mangroves that I collected locally, they’re throwing some pretty long roots now but no hairs yet. I collected the blacks around Christmas and the red a few months before that

After changing the light schedule and upgrading to an AIO tank I can see slight improvement! Now it’s just a waiting game for them to plump up

Almost a month ago my zoas didn’t wanna open to not opening all the way ! After tweaking and listening to you guys this is what I have a new polyp every week !
