It's kind of amusing, I could say I like pie, and typical response might be what do I have against cake!

It's been that way since I first joined, and not just to me so it's not really making me feel like anything or anyone different.

One thing I have noticed right here, seems most mods or staff actually still have reef tanks, and their drive and motivation to better the hobby are still strong, and they seem to be on board for the right reasons, rather than some kind of power trip.

And i thought i was the only one who has all the Right answers but Always wrong ..

I am married 44 years and know all about it. I have tinitus which is ringing in my ears so I always tell my wife, I can't hear her when she says something opposite. :rolleyes:

Erica likes to joke, but I'm pretty sure her wife is the one person she's right w/ most of the time, and the rest of us do like to tease a bit, but she usually has some good answers, I mean she does read what I write, some of it must stick!:rolleyes:

As for tinnitus, lifelong issue for me too, amazes me there's nothing to fix that by now...:(

Sorry to hear about your tinnitus guys. No pun intended. I’ve dealt with occasional ringing in my ears, but a couple months ago I experienced a “whooshing and thumping” in my ears which was the sound of the blood pumping through my head I guess. I was extremely dizzy at times. Almost fell over in the shower. It lasted three days. I need to turn down the volume on the chainsaw. Hopefully they can figure out something.

Big issue for me two. My hearing aids have a tinnitus masker, but that just changes one noise for a different one.

It's been an issue all my life, luckily for me I don't know different, though it does vary in level of ringing.
On top of it I'm 94% deaf in my left ear, and my right ear is now 98% closed up from surfers/divers/swimmers ear, which I'm presently trying to get drilled out, but they are afraid to touch me.
It's a bummer socially, I no longer enjoy many places as background noise often makes me not hear anything at all.
Luckily I still enjoy concerts, Iron Maiden and AC/DC can usually provide proper sound level for my enjoyment!:)

I know that feeling. I got myself blown up in Viet Nam which gave me this wonderful condition. I just always feel like I am at a bad concert or sitting inside a 747 engine. They say those tinnitus masking hearing aids won't work for me, they just make it louder which is no fun. But it is fun getting old isn't it. :eek:

In noisy places I just say "WHAT" all the time or nod like I know what people are saying. :D

The only Ringing in my ears is when i know Dave is talking about me.I can feel it across the country even in my sleep,Dave and i could prob teach each other a few things no doubt.As far as hearing I have no ringing in my ears ,well other then when i made Bonnie mad. I usually can not hear someone talking to me unless I am looking at them and there is no background noise.I have to remind myself to not talk so loud which seems a common problem for people with hearing issues..

My Wife has Selective hearing.. This is a Completely Different disability all together I believe it has to with be Spoiled

Today is the day before tomorrow and the day after yesterday. tomorrow today will be today and the day after tomorrow will be tomorrow....
