Simply what that title says. Why? This just started happening the past week.

My display tank is on my first floor.

My sump is in the basement.

I have two EB8s for the tank on the first floor that each has my LEDs and T5s plugged into.

I have two EB8s in the basement 12 feet away. My PM2 is connected to one of those with the salinity and temp probe in the sump.

My condx reading has been dropping drastically on a daily bases. I finally got around pin pointing the event with when my white led channel turns on.

Why?

It's possibly related to some kind of improper grounding but I haven't found it yet.

you're right. I just added some T5s recently too. I just turned off my T5s a d the condx started reading right again.

What's up with that?

The T5s go on and off very close to the same time as the white led channel so I thought it was those but its most definitely the T5s.

Showing me turning them off and back on again tonight.

Finally fixed the issue. I tried different surge protectors, outlets, circuits, emf filters, placement, wrapping in foil (yes I tried this), energy bars, and many combinations of each.

I replaced the ballast and issue resolved. Crazy. They aren't even close to each other and on totally different circuits.

Hey Jason, which ballast MFG did you use when you replaced them?
I have a LET 60" kit that I'm using and I've been seeing the same issue.

I think it was a LET too. It was the retro kit from BRS. I replaced with a Hamilton V series t5
