I have had this Ricordea for 6 months and it has always been totally blue/purple. Now green areas are appearing. Why would it happen and is it good, bad or neither? There has been a slight change to a second light, but not much. All other parameters have remained generally unchanged. (I messed with the saturation, etc. to get the differences to show up on the photo. They are more obvious in reality.)

Just how corals are sometimes.

Some change color drastically under aquarium light vs natural light.

And most ricordea are collected from the wild rather than having a long history of propagation so more likely that it hasn’t had much time under aquarium light.

Not to worry

Thanks. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll end up with a two color mushroom.
