Why won’t my bubble fully open?

How long have you had it? How new is this tank? What lighting and flow was it under in the LFS and now in your tank? How are the other corals in your tank. Water parameters?

I have 5 bubbles. Thry require a mature tank. Very low flow. And do better on the bottom.

I use tap water.. but my nitrates are 20-40ppm.. dont eveb check phosphates. Use T5 lighting. 1350 mag. Alk 8-9. Calcium 440.

Maybe you can use this.

Is it in low flow ?
