So I have algae spreading across my substrate. The algae has almost completely covered the sand behind the rocks. Would a sand sifting goby eat the algae and stir up the sand? Is there any other fish / invertebrate that would do this? Any help and advice would be appreciated. The tank has been running for 4 months at this point.

It looks like some sort of Cyano? I can't really tell if its hairy at all. A goby may stir it up but will not eat it. A few snails will eat it. However, it will go away in time. 4 months in is just the ugly phase.
