Will it be okay to add anampses feminius to a new tank?

The tank will have mature live rock and new live sand in it from the start. Would this be okay to do? @evolved your expertise would be most welcome :)

It depends on what's being considered "mature". If that's coming from a long established system (years, not months) with sponges and populated with zooplankton, then it will probably work. But if that's just mature from a cured/bacterial perspective, then it's not a good recipe for success.

Not a great one. Tampa Bay would fit that bill, but it's also really likely to have less than desirable hitchhikers.
Someone local breaking down a tank might he a better bet.

True that, Ill get the tank going and drop some local reefer mature live rock in! but if the rock is years matured and such it would ensure success?

Ensure is a loaded word; there's no such thing with anampses.

Thats true aswell :? another question...Did you quarantine your femininus and have her go thorough copper and stuff?
