Woke up fish dead coral fine?

So i woke up to a white tank i can't see more then two inches into the tank. So out of the fogg i see a dead fish i did a 5g water change and now i see all my fish are dead along with shrimp but my coral is fine. There is one coral out of 50ish not looking to hot and that my tye dye shroom. Any idea what is wrong?

Things i done recently

Did a water change last night with TM pro
Spot fed last night for the first time on a month
Added .05 ML of vodka

Again i looked dismorning and found all my chalices still look puffy and still have a little food in the eye some of them.

How many fish are there that are dead? You checked your water parameters to see where they are at? You think you might have ph swing last night?

I only had two fish. Two jigsaw clown fish and three pep shrimp. Would the ph Cuase the cloudy water? Also another weird thing as i inspect a few pieces there still looking happy but i see there mouths are open wide like i have never seen all the eyes on my coral so big it is definitely abnormal. When taking out the fish i saw they where very pale to there true color as i know them.

Still the only thing looking not good is my prized possesion my tye die mushroom. how do mushrooms do in high low ph compared to chalices?

Ps no cal or kalk rex. Its a tank i set up to move all my coral so i can get my new tank set up.

So i would assume it is my ph being a little low. What should i do and im stumped about the cloudy part still. Also now i see all my chalices are deflated now with big mouths still. Mushroom is weird looking stretching its mouth out. What should i do to correct the PH?

Do you have kids? JW because I had a tank about a year ago and all it took was a few (all kidding aside) M&M's to turn my water from crystal clear to almost milk overnight killed my Golden Dwarf Moray and my clownfish but coral was fine. Tater tots do it to by the way.

add a ph buffer and increase the ph over a few days most likely your your alkalinity is off from what i know if your other levels aren't correct ph will star fluctuating

The dead fish that caused the cloudy water. You may want to make another water change.
Are you running a calcium reactor? Too much carbon dioxide feed into the water would drop your ph. 7.4 is low. A swing from 8.2 to 7.4 overnight would kill your fish.

add a dose, check ph if u are still low add sum more the next day. oh wait atleast 3 to 4 hours after u dose to check ph or u can just check it the next day

and water changes too just make sure you mix your saltwater for atleast 24 hours to let the levels get to where they need to be at

Yea i dont use a cal or kalk rex. I did not mix for 24 hours =( i just did two quick onces cause it was a emergence. Im going out to get lunch and some buffer now put my way oversized bk skimmer on and its skimming like crazy and its clearing right up. Thanks guys and ian i'll drop you a pm later on the pic and some coral ill be interested in,in the future.

I would just recommend to do a wc, but not using ph buffer. run some carbon and it should clear out your water.

Ok i added half the recommended API PH buffer. Everything looks like crap now, Everything (i realy only own chalices) is deflated and very spiky. One or two thing even show a little recession. Did a nice water change, everything looks stable right about now parameter wise ph is a little higher. So what now a waiting game and hope for the best? What could of caused this ph to go down so low over night?

I can't answer your question. But I recommend you to not have your lights on for at least a couple days (maybe just moon lights on if you have one). Chalices or all corals would recover better under low or no lights.

Took all lights off and I put my power bright strip on the corner of the tank. I'll leave it there till Tuesday if things get worse I might take upthe offer darron.
