Wood selection

going to get some 2x4s for my first stand build and came into these questions. I know not to use pressure treated wood, so it means I can use kiln dry correct? is there a preference for the 1st pic over the 2nd picture assume whitewood is good for making a stand? what is ww wood in the 3rd picture? is it suitable for stand build as well?

2nd set of questions: what thickness of plywood are you using for the rest of the stand? 1/2 or 3/4. assuming I'm going to paint the stand white, is oak ok? I couldn't find poplar. all I see is oak, pine, and birch. what do you prefer? do I need to watch out for "pressure treated" plywood? is there such a thing?

Last stand I built I used kd 2x4 and 1/2 birch just cause I like birch but any of the ones you listed well work fine.

Kiln dried, and birch is fine for paint, and no, no PT ply I'm aware of(I'm a carpenter)
Go 3/4"

Maple is my choice, durable, easy care. I had a 90 with a custom stand and hood and it was done with Maple. I Love the wood grain!

Since you're painting, 3/4 birch plywood is all you need. save the 2x4s for when you're framing a house.
