My favorite quote about this hobby came from a user on here
@Diesel - "Nothing good happens fast in this hobby only bad things happen overnight, if you think you go slow, slow down even more"

+1!

Buy it right or buy it twice!
( which I have failed at a couple times lol)

Go slow, be patient, Buy the best you can afford even if you have to save for it and research before you buy - ( Do NOT Let the pet store or impulse get the best of you).

Have spares of things like main circulation pumps and heaters.. the vital stuff just in case.

Also if possible instal solar on your house. This helps with the power bills, protects you from power outages during the day and most importantly clean energy helps keep the natural reefs there for your kids to enjoy!

Oh and 6.5kw solar on my roof only cost me 5k.. my tank will cost me 6k..
