Worm available

I'm breaking down and reworking my 75 gallon and I've had this worm in there since he was a little thing. He is now about 12 years old and 3 feet I'm length. Never has bothered anything. Any ideas of what I should do with him/her?

If its not bothering anything leave it in. Worm are good about eating dead stuff.

This is debatable. BW are excellent scavengers and they get a bad rep. I've yet to see my many BW do damage to any corals and I have a mixed reef.

He's been in the tank for 12 years with LPS and softies and never bothered them. He is a huge bristle worm if that is what he is. He came in on live rock I got from Tampa Bay Saltwater. When he was a juvenile, he was black with a yellow strip around his neck. Now he is an iridescent brown and tan. His face/mouth is surrounded with 1" long tentacles and he looks really mean.

You've got a good point there. I may just move him with the other "good" stuff in the tank. It's hard for me to believe how long he has lived.

i have never really noticed my bristle worms bothering anything. their just an eyesore

I seen on line that people that keeps them on there tanks usually put pvc pipes under the rock and sand like eels to give them a home. If you donts wants them call one of those web sites that sells them and donate it. But after 12 years in a tank i would keep it, that thing is like a pet now
