Found this guy when I turned my lights on this morning I've seen several but this is the first time it's up close enough to get good pic of it does anyone know what they are and if they are good or bad

Ok I just had heard good and bad so I wasn't 100% sure on it

They usually eat decaying or dead things. But can get predatory if they get big enough. There are videos of large ones eating things bigger around than their bodies. For that reason I like to keep an eye on the larger ones in my tank. I had to remove one that was eating my GSP a while ago.

They may be good as a clean up crew BUT do not touch it with your bare hands or prepare for a world of hurt [emoji24]. When I see any in my tank, I try everything to remove them. Just hate how they look.
