Is this a bristleworm? It's a bad pic but its pinkish with whitish "legs"

we callem fire worm it looks like a sentepee color red and white w legs killem they eat fish

Thanks it is a bristleworm/fireworm and it is bad kinda worm and I saw a dozen or so smaller ones so ill go get some banded coral shrimp

they aren't that bad...and no they wont eat fish...they will eat anything dead or dying.. i love them in my tank as scavengers

Why do so many people give bristleworms a bad rap? They are perfectly fine for a reef tank. They are very good scavengers. They DO NOT kill fish. If one is almost dead or dead they will "clean it up".

thank you dave... i think the reason is because when they look in in the tank at night and they see this nasty worm crawling around their beautiful aquarium....i guess like a bug in your sleeping space lol

i was rong but thanks i read an old post and you are right they dont kill fish.anyway they look nasty killem jejejej

I don't mind Bristle worms.....

Except that I've been stung by bristle worms probably 20 times now. :( Each time, they leave a row of bristles in my fingers that I have to pull out. Then over the next few weeks, I have to deal with swollen, itchy fingers that eventually blister up and peel.

Ok the research I did online said that they are not bad but this kind,Hawaiian fireworm can eat fish anyone have experience with these ,I don't care if there in my tank they look cool and if they clean that's cool too but if they can eat healthy fish or corals then they need to go
