I have a "highlighter acro" that has done pretty well. Apparently I lost it in the rock work for a while there, did some rearranging, and poof looks like it's gonna make it after all. I run a mainly LPS with some softies tank and generally keep nitrate 5-10 as they all seem to do a lil better with dirtier water. It's a baby at the moment, but considering I got it about 1/4 this size as a gift from a buddy to give an acro a shot, I'm actually happy with progress. image.jpeg

Heres my current tank, always ran my n03 from 5 to 20 on all of my tanks with sucess. Never seen a difference in color other then acros getting worse when n03 is undetectable, above like 25-30 they dont look to sharp especially polyp extension.

My tank was running at 0ppm NO3, I added more fish and started feeding more to get better colors. My birdsnest shed it's polyps after a few days. I checked nitrates and they were at 15ppm. I assume that's what did it

Yes, I did 2 25% water changes. NO3 is now at 8ppm. Hoping it will recover, over half the polyps are gone. I think it's because the tank went from 0-16ppm in 3 days

That's good. I added more bio pellets now down to 2-5 but it's eating up my pellets I have to put more to soak tomorrow.
