Success! My mollies, currently residing in brackish water have had fry! And they've grown enough that I'm hopeful they'll survive to adulthood!

Also, my workplace got a tank full of salmon eggs the students are going to raise up. I wasn't sure it would happen this year. I love watching the fry hatch and grow up.

Those salmon fingerlings grow quickly

They sure do. I feed them over spring break when all the other staff are gone. Can almost watch them grow by the day.

Yes, I'd like a double order of fry please!

Looks like your double order is in! I counted 20 before I lost track.

On a related note, my rats had their first litter last night too!

I'm going to wait until they are just big enough to not get sucked up by the filter, then I'll throw a few in my display. Hopefully provoke a response from the Marine Betta. They're supposed to eat small fish, and I want to see it actually hunt. :D

The mollies continue to breed. I'm on generation 4 or 5 now. The first are getting pretty large. Going to see if my Marine Betta will chase them down when I have time to watch.

Even better news, the salmon fry have hatched, and are growing very well!

And what the heck, my overly prolific momma rats as well.
