You should always were full sleeve gloves. If you have no gloves wash / rinse your entire arm off well before doing anything inside the tank. I don't let so much as dead skin cells enter my water column. By the way nice and informative article on sunscreen. Makes me pretty angry to see how much of the coral reefs are being killed off.

But my lights above the tank are so bright sunscreen is required when I work on it.

Kidding. I don't work with any chemicals and I bath every day so no special precautions needed but now that you mention it....

I do coat down my dry feet in lotion every night....usually it's the last thing I do and I don't go back to tank after but this will make you think...
