I have a 40 gallon fish tank with a pair of clownfish, flame angelfish, and a Valentini puffer. What else should I get?

I would say the angelfish is the ‘wow’ fish already. With your current fish selection I would not add another large fish.

What about a hawkfish? Im assuming you have no shrimps with the puffer.

Side note. This is my “wow” livestock in my 40B! I just wasnt happy with the fish I could keep due to size so this little dude was adopted and is now my “wow” animal in my 40B!

I never knew birdies were saltwater lizards! how does it reside with the clowns? are they aggressive towards him?

I just got this hawkfish and he has a lot of personality and is super pretty! Or a blenny. Blennies are the best!

Lol I converted the 40B into a bearded dragon home. Its just an awkward tank size for saltwater fish cause its so borderline for fish requirements so I just said hell with it and took the HOB off and made it a home for the dragon.

If you want to splurge? Biota Cuban Basslet.

If you want something a bit different but colorful again Biota Brazillian Gramma Basslet. Looks similar to the Royal Gramma but more rare and smaller.

Small? Biota Tessellated Blenny. Could get a couple of them.

The flame angelfish will already demand attention due to the color and size. The clownfish will be a spunky in that size of a display. So honestly your choices are somewhat limited.
