I have been running 10K Ushios, and just made a switch to 15K Hamiltons...and all I can say is WOW!!! All the coral pop with colors now! WIll post pics tonight!!

Id hate for what happend to me to happen to anyone else..I will never switch bulbs again without major precautions..

Stix, Hamilton bulbs IME wear out around 5 months at higher Kelvins. Mark the date you installed them so that you change them at the appropriate time later. The colors pop because the higher kelvin has more ability to make the colors stand out.(phosphorescence)

I took a bunch but been running all weekend...here is a taste of a with 10K and with 15K shot of the Nuclear Green!!! Simply amazing and night and day!!!

(no editing whatsoever...just camera and coral!)

Ya stix when I switched to a 15k XM, my tank was like brand new again! It popped!!! It was fun again looking around. LOL!

wow that really made a huge difference. do you think the color will stay after few months??

As soon as I powered them on I was amazed. I hope the colors hold. it was kind of funny because when I got the Nuclear Greens I was thinking to myself that they were very "blah" looking compared to everyone else. But they really pop under the lights. I sure hope the colors hold!

Rev...it is amazing...it is like a new tank. I find myself with a new draw to it again!

Steve, I went from hamilton 14k to an ushio 10k. I raised my pendant, but not high enough. just about everything bleached in 8 hrs... it has taken months to get the colors back, and on some, I still havent...

Those nucs are night and day.. good choice of bulb
