So i just got this wrasse the other day. I was told it’s a dusky wrasse which from what i’ve researched it is reef safe. Over the past few days i’ve noticed a few of my hammers, zoas, and mushrooms have been eaten or something. Everything was normal until after i put it in. Is there a chance this fish isn’t what i’ve been told it is? Is it reef safe and could be something else killing my corals?

do they eat coral? I know juvenile dusky wrasses look like the one i have so wasn’t sure
I think you are right. I forgot about the Halichoeres one. Definitely not the fairy. @Slocke and maybe @OrchidMiss may have had the Halichoeres one. OrchidMiss had the fairy dusky

Looks like my dusky when i got it 3 years ago. Never had any issues with it, still have a complete cleanup crew. Unless your corals are all mysis flavored i would guess that it would be something else.
Mine is still a big softy even though it is the largest fish in the tank.

Yes, I have one. Has never touched coral to eat, only flipped a couple looking for pods.

Hmmmmmm…. Well that is weird. If the fish isn’t eating my corals I don’t know what is. Nothing has changed except for when i put that fish in the tank. Nothing really sure what to do
