Anyone got an idea what the heck has happened to this chaps tail! At first I though he'd be scrapping but having watched now for hours, nothing, it's feeding well and swimming around fine, well, as good as he can. I first noticed this in Friday.

Forgot to say, did a complete water test yesterday and everything is fine, even got my local fish shop to do a check too, both got the same readings so I'm happy with the water. All other fish are fine too.

Another fish may have taken a chomp out of its tail perhaps...What other fish do you have with it? Keep your eye on it and just make sure it doesn't start to get infected. I've had fish get their tails chomped off and they usually grow back just fine as long as they aren't continually harassed.

Good luck!
