Looks like Cyanobacteria to me.

In the day time it looks kind of like a black hair/slime. I'm constantly being told it's the diatom stage and to be patient.

Deffinately looks like cyano check your flow and your phospates. Try to suck up as much as you can. Even if the tank is 3 months old you can still take care of it just be diligent with your tests and husbandry.

I had red Cyano between the 3-6 month time period in my sump, flow in DT was too high for anything to build up.

After a lot of research, spreading out feeding, constantly changing filter socks, and manually removing the Cyano from my fuge I stopped completely and started using Coral Snow...

Between the two, I have seen increased coral coloration and growth (evening dosing every other day because the stuff is expensive) and my Cyano issue in the sump has cleared up.

I have personally placed 3 orders from them and eventhought everything looks fantastic, healthy and pest free.

They send a sample of Brightwell Aquatics Koral MD for sample but also to use with your order. In the end it is up to you but dipping and QT is always the preferred method regardless of where the live stock comes from.

I have an invert/coral qt anf enything questionable goes in there for obstervation. Be it 24 hours or 1 month.

Mine came in today! The box was wet on one side and some of the bags were open (I did a quick acclimation process on those ones. Dipped them and got them in my tank as quick as I could) after I got them all acclimated and placed a quick call to @WWC and they were more than happy to work with me and appreciated I gave them a heads up. Simply the best customer service one could as for. Simply the most beautiful coral too! I have a few more pics to post. Sorry for terrible camera quality these were taken from my phone ill be getting a better camera soon!
