Hey y'all,

I am looking at buying 2 pumps for my 8ft 240g (96x24x25) build. I will also have 2 MP40's on the back wall of the tank. But I was wondering if I should get 2 of the xf250's or the 280's. I see I have to preorder the 2nd xf280 if I go that route. I am looking at putting water in the tank late next week. The tank in the future will be 90% SPS.I appreciate the help.

8 foot tank I would go with the 280. I use the 250 on my 6 foot and feel like it almost gets to the other side of the tank. Brs put out a video today showing the flow of the gyre on a six foot tank.

If it's any help I have an older 150 verticle on my 6ft but just one. Also one other cheap powerhead on the middle back. Eventually I'll get another 150 for the other side but my sps are good for now. Maybe buy one 280 and test it out and see if you think you really need another or just get a 250 on the other end

Yea I saw the video they put up today. They had 1 250 in the 6foot, I think it was at 100% also. I Think I will get 1 - 280 right now and wait until they are in stock to get another one. Since for several months it will just be cycling/stabilizing the system to get ready for SPS. I appreciate the replies, has helped out a lot. :)

Are you only wanting to buy from a certain site? Dr. Fosters and smith has them in stock if you don't care where you buy it.

Too a point yes, bc of the reward points since I have to buy another ATI 8x54w fixture. I have had to go to different places to get some things. I will definitely check it out though. Thank you @bubbaque
