So I have had a 12g jbj nano cube going on 3 years years now

But my reef was over growing itself and corals were battling it out, My wife bought me a biocube 29 2 years ago lol but finally got around to setting it up. I had all the nano cube parts upgraded to be able to be used on the Biocube 29. so here is what I have, I am excited to share this journey with everyone.

Tank - Biocube 29 with hood removed
Stand - Old real wood dresser
Lights - Kessil 160 we with goose neck
Return pump - Cobalt Mj900
Power head - Hydor nano 180gpf
Heater - 150w aqueon pro
Heater controller - Inkbird
Media - seachem purigen, carbon, Seachem phosguard, chemi pure nano 2 bags and live rock rubble in rear
FIlter - stripped biocube cartridge and using polishing pad on top and filter floss pad

was thinking of maybe getting a skimmer still on the fence about and setting up a reactor @SKYHIGGh gave me last night soon :) and most likely a chaeto reactor or algae scruber.

any recommendations are welcome!

hey bro that last shot is so clear I can't even tell if there's water in the tank lol, but I think I see a fish in the reflection / wow that's clear start lol

*update, the open rock flower anem does indicate hydration in place lol. the fish is not hovering in air it turns out

Using 50 micron polishing pads to make sure all the residual crude from scrubing the rocks gets filtered out lol it is not joke changed 3 pads in 24 hours they kept getting clogged, so I kept turkey basting the rocks.

when I pulled them from my 12g I scrubed them all to perform a rip clean during the transfer , there was some nasty gunk coming off those rocks, nastier than my first rip clean a year and a half ago when I had the cyano problem. The sand is new but had to rinse it 30 + times to get it clear wanted to start fresh this time around lol

lost count after 32 rinses lol final rinse was done with 3g of salt water and poured out water and put sand into tank with 5g of water and took a picture to show how clear it was

here is a look at the 12g during the transfer which "looked clean" this was all under the rocks and behind the rocks and rear sump chambers.

A little update, Moved in april to a new home, Moved the tank and changed the rock work and coral position slightly, ended up getting a skimmer the aquatic life 115 mini skimmer have has it for 3 days and its breaking in nicely removing some nice skim mate every day. also changed over to red sea ab+ from seachem reef plus because I wanted a carbohydrate component with my aminos. was thinking of diy a filter sock for my floss chamber brain storming with a 180 micron media bag. Things have been crazy around here so have not had time to update here are some pics of the bio cube enjoy !
