So looking to get my light in the coming weeks I have a waterbox 55.2 frag the demensions are 24"x24" and 16" high.

My goals:
sps dominant mixed reef. I love birsdnest, stylophora, and pocillopora corals and plan on the upper portions of my rockwork to be covered in a few of those vvarieties. I also wanted to add an elegance coral on the sand bed in front.

Currently I'm thinking of going with an xr15 g5 pro for my lighting and if things are going great once things get growing add a second to spread the light out and prevent any shadowing as the corals start filling in.

Any suggestions? I'm pretty sure this is the right light to go with but I'm open to suggestions.

Pic of the currently cycling tank!

I agree. I am considering replacing my aging lights with G5’s too. The only thing I would add is maybe go to a good LFS to see what they are using for your own comparison. If you are lucky, they may be using a G5. If you haven’t seen them in action, it would be nice to see them before buying (in my opinion anyways).

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
