Hey fellow reefers. Bought a setup that came with some xr15 pros g5. It came with the track mount. I’m just wondering what all do i need to just use as single arms rather than the whole rail above the tank. Dont make fun of me too hard thanks

Bump

So I can’t take the middle rail part out then use the arms I have to buy whole new set ups?
I misread your post earlier. Correct me if i am wrong. So you got the rail system but you want to use it as a single rms mount. If this is true, then you should already have either a rms slide or some sort of mounting bracket that attaches to the radion itself, and the arm. You need a shorter rail which you can purchase separately but the shortest rail you can purchase is 20” ish. If you need shorter than that you can cut the rail or will need to purchase the new kit.

I bought a used setup lol so it may be missing stuff tbh

Post a picture of everything you have for the lights, that should help steer the conversation in the right direction.

Do you have the screwy bits that are used to attach to the tank? Apologies for blue light pic, snapped on for you real quick:

Yeah I have those. Do you know how to convert this to single arm mounts?

I'm pretty sure you'd just need a shorter rail to retro fit it. I have no experience with these long mounts, but it looks functionally the same as the single arm mounts. As far as I can tell Ecotech doesn't sell the individual pieces though.

Alternatively, you could probably get away with just mounting the single light in the middle of the mount? It might sag a bit, but should be reasonably safe.

I couldn’t find them anywhere lol maybe I can ask eco tech

Worth a shot.

If Ecotech isn't helpful, shoot me a PM. I have an extra of the shorter rails, but I'm not sure if the light mounts are the same for the various gens (I have Gen 6 Radions).
