I've seen Seahorse Savvy offer these guys before (Fully QT'd and eating frozen and prepared) and was wondering what everyone's experience with the species was? Dunckerocampus pessuliferus
I love the color and pattern but know their success rate in captivity isn't very good with wild caught specimens

I bought a pair of them and had them in a 50 gallon lps/sps tank.
They did good for a couple years and then one day there was only one.
It lasted maybe another year.
I fed frozen mysis and brine shrimp, I added pods from algaebarn once a month and occasionally fed fresh hatched brine shrimp.

I had a pair for over a year. They were in with small blennies and gobies. I never saw them eat, guess they were feeding on pods. I did a cleaning to get rid of GHA and they died the next day.
