Vaiodude inspired me to stop being lazy and make a build thread to keep track of my build progress. Please excuse any misspelling and potato quality pictures because I will be doing it all with my phone (in the process of moving in and construction so computer is not set up).

Quick shout out to Paul aka Mbc2012 for selling this beautiful 75 Gallon Deep Blue Rimless Tank for a price I could not resist. Shout out to Kenroyn aka @T5PO and Alex aka avasquez01 for helping me out with tons of valuable information for the build.

I decided to go with with this DT because it fits perfectly with my family / dining room and it also has access to the basement for a huge sump and refugium.

Current Equipment:

Tank:
75 Gallon Deep Blue Rimless
Modified Deep Blue Stand

Lights:
Photon16 x2

Skimmer:
Bubble Magnus Curve 7

Sump:
130 Gallon Breeder 72Lx24Wx17H

Refugium:
90 Gallon Custom Acrylic 36Lx19Wx30H

Powerhead:
Jabao wp40

Future Equipment / Wishlist:
(If anyone has anything listed for sale or trade please PM me!)

Maxspect Gyre 50w (overkill I know but runs perfect at 20% for this size tank, as seen in some videos. Need to see this in person to judge)

More to be added can't think at this late hour!

Current Progress:

11/8/2014

DT is currently filled with 6 gallons of vinegar added and algae are coming off like butter! No elbow grease needed!

Plumbing is complete. Have one drain going to main sump with skimmer and return pump. Other drain will be going to a drilled 90 gallon for refugium with 4 inch sandbed. I decided not to do any baffles. Chamber #1 will have drain and skimmer followed by about 300 lbs of liverock. Return will be at the end of 6 foot sump. Refugium will drain into return chamber, essentially making the return pump in the middle. Refugium will house various macro algae and frags.

More to come so subscribe ;)

Looks like you have a well thought out setup and should have bulletproof water stability with 300 gallons in the system. I love the look of the rimless tanks!

I'm glad I inspired you to start the build thread. I wouldn't say you were lazy, it took me almost 2 years to finally put one together.

Keep us updated with your progress... Following along.

Everything is so chaotic right now at my new house, having even finished moving in and renovations yet! I made this sort of priority to get it cycling while I move in and do some renovating lol

Reinforced the left side of the stand today because Deep Blue made the door over there and so it was wobbly.

Also put in a shelf with light hangers with a bar so I can sly the lights back and forth. Only have one light on it now bc the other is powering my biochbe atm.
