For those that might have followed along, I did a tank swap about a month ago, from RedSea to Waterbox, and increased the size of the tank (WB infinia 230.6, 220 gallons total, 167 DT).
It as cabisea crushed coral for the substrate, and even after all of the dust/silt/etc settled out from the initial fill, the tank has been cloudy the entire time. I've read tons of threads that its likely a bacteria bloom, to leave it alone, increase flow, etc.
Sump-> tank turnover 3x, using the WB 7" filter socks, also running a Santa Monica turf scrubber, but its not close to being 100% operational yet, only 3 weeks old maybe?. DT tank turnover via 2 IceCap 2k gyres is approx 20x.
Latest paramters:
Salinity 35 ppt
PH 8.19
Alk 7.65 (slowly raising to 9)
Tmp 78.3
Nitrate 20 ppm
Phosphate .24
3-4 days ago I set up dosing for MicroBacter7, NeoNitro, and NeoPhos. Prior to that my tank had no nutrients and I had a big dino problem... I still have dinos I think, but they are greatly reduced. Due to an error on my part the Microbacter7 and NeoNitro bottles were both dosed completely in 24hrs.
I also started running activated carbon.
Generally I feed TDO Chroma flakes once a day, and mysis+benepets at night, target fed to corals.
I'm kind of at a loss as to what to try next, the two things I've read that seem to be possibilities are either UV or Coral Snow.
