We put an elegance in the tank last Wednesday. For 1 week she thrived in this spot blowing up huge every day. The water parameters are looking strong. Check out the pics. Before and after. Thoughts?

Elegance can be tricky sometimes. They like dirty water, lower light, and low/moderate flow. If my tank is too clean mine will let me know. Did this just happen overnight or was it slowly getting smaller? Were you spot feeding it anything like reefroids? Your clown also may have tried to host it which may have bothered it.

Over 3 days. She expanded a little last night but this morning she was all sucked in. She's in full light moderate flow. Should I move her? I noticed she would catch some frozen food when feeding the fish. Now my clown is hosting her as well, maybe that is freaking her out.

Try and stop the clown from hosting it. Move to the other side of the tank. Less flow would help to.

Thank you. She's got a few tentacles hanging out now... looking for love. I moved it under a shelf so the lighting and flow is lower. The clown stays on the other side so we're good there. What's the best food for her?

Is your elegance from Australia, or elsewhere? Elegance from Australia seem to be much hardier than others. Those collected around Indonesia seem to have a poorer survival rate after a very short time in captivity. Mine shrinks at night, but never to that degree. It fully opens in less than an hour, even when the moonlights come on.

They don't really need food and what you have already is fine. I spot feed mine once a week with reefroids along with other things. Moving it to lower light/flow will hopefully help and I would just let it be for now and give it time.

Do y'all have better luck in the sand or stuck in the rocks?

Looking good. I ran them in barebottom tanks. It's more about the flow and light with these. Too much beats them up.
